Our Mission
“Common Grounds Dog Park Committee is a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing and supporting a beautiful fenced-in, off-leash dog park in the Scotts Bluff County communities by raising the funds, rallying community support and working in partnership with city parks and recreation departments."
Our Story
Common Grounds Dog Park Committee was created in 2015 by a small group of dog loving citizens who wanted to help better their community for both dogs and people. They saw a need for a large fenced in area for citizens of their community to exercise and socialize their dogs, and begin the work of developing, designing, fundraising and promoting the idea of a large dog park in the Scotts Bluff County communities.
We are currently working on completing the five+ acre Monument Dog Park in the City of Gering, and going to break ground on the two+ acre Carol A Fuller Dog Park in the City of Mitchell soon. Meanwhile we are still dedicated to the upkeep and renovation of the small dog park in Scottsbluff. It is our goal to promote responsible dog ownership and create a platform for canine and community member engagement through events, programs, partnerships and dog parks.
